A delicately painted lively scene this exotic garden in Hunan Province depicts decorative artefacts of the period. Birds can be admired perched in trees and on delicate ornate frames. A pair of sarus cranes decorate an ornate branch and butterflies dance from flower to flower. This design works well in muted natural and pastel shades for a delicate look, as well as using stronger bolder colours to create a statement. Printing on arrowroot with metallic adds extra lustre and a touch of sparkle to the scene.
